TUESDAY
Burnley vs Salford City B | Behind-Closed-Doors Friendly | 1pm (BST)
Our U21s are in action to start the week, as they welcome Salford City’s B side to the Burnley Training Centre. The game will be behind-closed-doors and is the U21s final friendly before the start of their season on Monday 21st August
The Ammies should prove a firm test for the Clarets who fell just short of a result against senior side Ashton United, losing 3-2 last Tuesday. A match report will be available to view on burnleyfootballclub.com following the game. Superb second half sees Clarets secure comfortable victory
SATURDAY
Millwall vs Burnley | U18 Professional Development League | 11am (BST)
There is no league game for the first-team this week due to the scheduled fixture with Luton Town being postponed, so the U18s take centre stage for their game against Millwall on Saturday.
Tony Philliskirk’s side opened their campaign with a draw at Charlton Athletic on Saturday 12th August and will look to continue their unbeaten start at the Burnley Training Centre.
The game will see full coverage on Twitter @ClaretsAcademy, and a post-match interview with Philliskirk will follow the game, as well as a report on the Club website.
SUNDAY
Liverpool Feds vs Burnley FC Women | FA Women’s National League North | 2pm (BST)
The Claret Women kick off their season on Sunday as they face Liverpool Feds, the same side that they faced on the final week of the previous campaign, at Jericho Lane Sports Hub.
Burnley played Feds in the first women’s game held at Turf Moor and will hope for a similar result this time as they ran out 2–0 winners.
Supporters can attend the game, with ticket details announced in due course, and full coverage of the fixture will be available on Twitter @BurnleyFCWomen, with a post-match interview from Rebecca Sawiuk following the game, as well as a match report on the Club website.
