Zian Flemming insists that the Clarets will have to 'roll up their sleeves and be ready' for this weekend's clash with Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium, as Scott Parker's side take on the U's in the Sky Bet Championship.
Oxford have won their opening three home league fixtures this season and Flemming is anticipating a challenging afternoon against last season's League One play-off final winners.
Speaking to Clarets+ ahead of the trip, Flemming said: "I haven't actually played Oxford before, because obviously they have just been promoted, but their record speaks for itself. "If you win three in three home games as a newly promoted side, I think that's very impressive. We're going to have to roll up our sleeves and be really ready for it.
"There's definitely not going to be anything easy about this game and they are going to be full of confidence going into this one, especially being the home team.
"Even though we have started well, won our last two and go there as a recent Premier League team, I think they will be like 'go on then, let's see what you have got'.
"So, I think we have to be really ready for that attitude of them being well up for it and it's going to be a tough fight and a proper game."
Flemming has only been at the Club for a month now, but the Dutchman admits he is settling into life at Turf Moor just fine, after making the move from Millwall on deadline day.
"It's been quite a good few weeks for me. We have won two games out of two, so that's obviously a good start on the pitch, but then you have all the practical side of it like moving house, finding somewhere to live and that's gone well too.
"You try get it done as quickly as possible and sometimes it can be messy and no one probably realises that, but it's all gone smooth and going the right way, so I'm settling in good."
The 26-year-old made his debut for the Clarets at Elland Road earlier this month, as the former Ajax man started upfront for Parker's men against Leeds, where Burnley came out on top.
Flemming admits he enjoyed the occasion in Yorkshire: "That was very enjoyable. I like playing at Leeds to be honest, playing away there is always a challenge.
"It's the second time I have played there and I enjoy playing at those proper English old school grounds, it's similar to Turf Moor too as well.
"There was a good atmosphere from both sets of supporters there and it gives the game that little bit extra and of course if you win it, it makes it a whole lot better."
Three games in the next seven days is on the horizon for the Clarets with home games against Plymouth and Preston North End after Saturday's trip to Oxford, but Flemming says he thrives off the busy fixture schedule.
"Yes, I like it to be honest. For me those are the best weeks, I think maybe every player would say it, but obviously everything we do is for the games.
"So, when you play on a Saturday then you go again on a Tuesday, it's nice because you get into the rhythm, especially if you're winning or on a good run.
"Winning streaks in double game weeks are amazing, because sometimes within seven days you can have nine points on the board, so yes always enjoyable."
