As the Clarets prepare for their final fixture of the US pre-season tour in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night, defender Joe Worrall reflected on the trip so far and his 'full focus' on getting back out on the pitch again in a few days time.

Speaking following Sunday's 1-1 draw with MLS side Columbus Crew, Worrall highlighted the importance of everyone getting more minutes into their legs once again and coming through unscathed, whilst also discussing the tour so far and the upcoming friendly with Real Salt Lake.

HONOURS EVEN IN COLUMBUS

"It was another good test for us on Sunday. It was tough conditions, in sweltering heat with another great atmosphere in the stadium, but we enjoyed it and it was another useful test for us.

"It was great to see a lot of Burnley fans out here in Columbus too, whether they travelled over from England or live out here, we met a few after the game which was nice.

"But it's another box ticked for us, no injuries, minutes in the legs for all the squad and another good game against strong opposition."

A US WELCOME

"It's been a great experience so far, all the lads and the staff have loved it. The food has been great, the people have been fantastic, mood around the camp is really good.

"The hospitality we have received has been absolutely top, the locals have welcomed us with open arms at the hotels, restaurants, shops, it really has been amazing."

FINAL STOP, REAL SALT LAKE

"They're going to be another great side and another tough game and I sound like a broken record, but the temperatures are going to be above 36 degrees whilst we are in Salt Lake, so that will play its part.

"I think we might see some changes in this game to the side, with a few of the older lads getting more minutes into the legs after the first two games, as we're looking to build on that now.

"It's crucial that we treat these games and opportunities with full focus and energy, as that Notts County game in the cup will be here before we know it and we all need to be ready to kick the season off."
