Ahead of Burnley's final pre-season friendly out in the US, Jaydon Banel admits he's 'excited' to be getting back out onto the pitch again on Wednesday night, as the Clarets conclude their trip against another MLS side in Real Salt Lake.
Nicky Hayen's men have spent the last eight days training across Ohio and Utah, with friendlies against FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew, before the final game this evening.
Following training on Tuesday morning, Banel looked ahead to the clash with Real Salt Lake, reflected on the tour overall and the aim of carrying the momentum and togetherness from the trip into the coming weeks.
FINAL MLS OPPOSITION TEST
"One last game on Wednesday to finish the trip will be nice. It will be another tough match for us, as they all have been and we're looking forward to it and I'm excited to be playing again.
"Everyone has had a good amount of minutes in their legs across the trip and Wednesday will be about pushing on even further and adding more match minutes into the body.
"We're looking forward to it and will hopefully end the trip with a strong performance and result, before coming home."
ENJOYABLE FIRST TRIP TO THE US
"It's the first time I have come to the US, I think it is for a lot of the lads out here too to be honest. I think everybody has loved it.
"The facilities have been amazing, the training grounds, the pitches, the gyms, it has all been very good for us.
"Representing this Club out here in the US is special for me and I have really enjoyed it. It's been hard work at times but a very useful trip for all of us."
BRINGING MOMENTUM AND TOGETHERNESS HOME
"I think it's a really good platform for all of us out here to show what we are capable of in training and in the matches that we have played.
"The training all week has been very good, and everyone has been putting a strong shift in, from the young academy players all the way to the most senior players in the group.
"There's been a real togetherness throughout the trip and it's about now carrying this back with us for the rest of pre-season and into the new season."
