Burnley FC’s Under 9s and Under 11s have returned from a week-long trip to Madeira, with both sides finishing an impressive third in their respective age group categories.
The U9s went unbeaten up until a semi-final defeat to Portuguese opponents Porto, scoring an incredible 51 goals in that run.
And similarly, to the younger side, the U11s also made the semi-finals without a loss before eventually being overcome by Sporting CP.
As well as a successful time on the pitch both players and staff enjoyed a fantastic week of new experiences off the pitch, including a visit to the CR7 Museum, a trip on a catamaran and multiple other excursions around the island of Madeira.
A huge well done to both the staff and players for their performance in the tournament and for creating a memorable week-long experience!
