Players enjoy memorable day as they sign first deals with the Club

Burnley Football Club's Under 9s side have signed their first registration deals with the Club, creating a day they will never forget in the process.

The players enjoyed a day at Turf Moor as the Clarets lifted the Championship trophy following a 3-0 victory against Cardiff City, and had their photos taken on the pitch.

Richard Geoghegan, U7-U12 Lead Coach, said: “We are delighted to welcome these young players and their families formally into our Academy.

“It was a special occasion to bring the players and their parents together at the Training Ground to celebrate their achievements to date and look forward to the year ahead.

“The boys also got the opportunity to go on the pitch at Turf Moor and watch the First Team lift the trophy and the smiles on their faces said it all.

“I’m sure this will be a memory that will inspire them for years to come as they begin their Academy journey.

“We look forward to working with the players to continue their development both on and off the pitch. Our coaches deliver each session in a fun and enjoyable environment with the boys exposed to new challenges along the way including trips, tournaments and educational opportunities.”
