Vaughan looking forward to Baggies opener

The U23s kick off their 2021/22 Premier League Two season on Monday evening, taking on West Brom at AFC Telford's New Bucks Head.

Michael Jackson's side finished their pre-season programme strong, with wins against the first teams of Lancaster City, Wrexham & Stockport County.

And defender Ethen Vaughan, who signed for the Clarets in the summer from Norwich City, believes the team are now ready and raring to go ahead of the new season.

The Wales U19 international said: "The first game of the season is always one to look forward to, after all the hard work the team and the coaches have put into pre season, everyone is ready to go now.

"It's my first competitive match for Burnley too, so i'm exicted for it and I’m fit and ready to go.

"There’s nothing better than match day and especially when when playing for a new club.

"The team are ready to go and ready for the challenge, we’ve had some tough challenges as a team throughout pre season but we’ve taken them on the chin and attacked them well.

"But as a group overall we are all positive and ready to attack the next challenge on Monday against West Brom."
