Michael Jackson's U23 side travel to Chesterfield's Technique Stadium this evening, to take on Sheffield United in their opening Premier League Cup match.
The Clarets, who sit in Group D alongside the Blades, Everton and Peterborough United, will play each side home and away, with the top two from each group progressing through to the knock-out stages.
Burnley come into the tie in good form, four games unbeaten, after two wins and two draws, conceding just three.
Meanwhile, United currently sit second in the U23 Professional Development League, winning three of their previous four games.
The last time these two sides met was in the 2019/20 season, where the Clarets came out 2-0 winners at Bramall Lane in October, before a 3-0 win in January 2020 over the Yorkshire side.
This evening's cup tie kicks off at 7pm, with live updates on Twitter (@ClaretsAcademy), followed my match report and reaction.
