It’s Premier League 2 action under the lights for our U21s on Friday night, with Norwich City the opponents at their Avant Training Centre.

Andy Farrell’s side will be aiming to bounce back from Tuesday night’s defeat to Tamworth in the National League Cup, in which the non-league side scored four without reply.

The young Clarets have found results hard to come by on their return to category one football and have three points from their six outings to date.

They all came courtesy of August’s victory over Liverpool and despite the young Clarets producing some good performances, they’ve been unable to register a point since.

By the time this game comes around it will have been three weeks since our last PL2 outing, with the international break being followed by two cup matches.

As such, Burnley are currently 24th in the 29-team table.

Opponents Norwich City have made a slightly better start to their campaign, claiming seven points from a possible 15 so far.

It’s been a little while since their last fixture, which was away at Sunderland in the Premier League Cup on Friday 10th October.

The Black Cats got the better of the 3-2 scoreline that night with two goals in second-half stoppage-time, with Dylan Jones and Zach Baumann netting for Norwich.

The Canaries have lost their last three games in all competitions, and their last league match was a 1-0 reverse at Leeds United’s LNER Stadium.

Former professional Olly Lee is in charge of the Green and Yellows. The 34-year-old made more than 300 appearances for a variety of clubs including Luton Town, Hearts, and Gillingham.

Supporters local to the venue (NR4 7TS) are welcome to attend free of charge, with a limited amount of on-site parking available on a first come first served basis.
