Wednesday evening will see Burnley U21s take on Everton in the quarter finals of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
The Clarets beat the Blues’ Merseyside rivals Liverpool 3-1 in November to set up this tie, with Joe Westley rounding off the scoring after a Han-Noah Massengo brace.
Andy Farrell’s team come into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Brentford B in the Premier League Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Trialist B drew Burnley level and after the Bees restored their advantage, Lewis Richardson struck to ensure the young Clarets wouldn’t be heading back up north empty handed.
Everton U21s ply their trade in Premier League 2, where they sit 23rd in the 26-team table having obtained eight points from 10 matches.
The Toffees fielded a U18s line-up in their first-round match against Fleetwood Town U21s, with Callum Bates and Joel Catesby on the scoresheet in a 2-0 victory.
The winner of this tie will play Accrington Stanley in the semi-finals of the competition.
Supporters can attend the game at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground (L26 3UE) for free, with kick-off at 6.30pm.
Otherwise, live updates will be shared on X @ClaretsAcademy and a match report will follow on Burnleyfootballclub.com
