After a mini break, Burnley U21s are back in action with an away game at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Andy Farrell’s side are aiming to claim their first Professional Development League victory of the season, having been unlucky in recent weeks.
The young Clarets’ most recent outing was a 4-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic, with the Addicks showing a clinical edge to take their chances.
After taking a 1-0 lead into the break, three goals in the space of 15 second-half minutes earned Charlton a comfortable victory in the end.
Having taken two points from four league matches to date, Burnley are 9th in the 11-team North section table.
Bristol City compete in the South section and have made an unbeaten start to the season, winning their last two games with an aggregate score of 6-0.
The Robins were 4-0 winners over Barnsley last time out, with a Luke Skinner brace and another goal from Olly Thomas asserting a 3-0 halftime lead before Tommy Backwell put the cherry on top.
Managed by Ali Hines, they have eight points from four matches and are 4th in the standings.
Supporters are welcome to attend the fixture at Ashton Gate free of charge, with kick-off at 1pm.
