Burnley U21s will be looking to build on last week’s point against Tottenham Hotspur when they take on fellow north Londoners Arsenal on Friday night.

Kick-off at Borehamwood’s Mangata Developments Stadium is 7pm and the young Clarets now have seven Premier League 2 points to their name thus far.

It finished 1-1 against Spurs last week, with Zach Johnson opening the scoring after good work from Oli Pimlott down the left at the County Ground in Leyland.

Andy Farrell’s team were pegged back by a close-range finish from James Rowswell, though, but battled resiliently and had the better of the chances in the second half.

They weren’t able to find a winner and are currently 26th in the 29-team table as a result.

Arsenal aren’t much better off having taken 12 points from a possible 27, leaving them 20th in the standings.

The Gunners are without a win in their last six outings in all competitions and suffered a 7-0 defeat to Liverpool in their first game of 2026 last week.

Keiran Morrison and Tommy Pilling netted in the first six minutes on Merseyside, before goals from Amara Nallo and Will Wright made it 4-0 at half-time.

Morrison scored twice more after the break to complete his hat-trick and Keyrol Figueroa completed the rout with a penalty 10 minutes from time.

Arsenal are managed by Max Porter, who took the reins in the summer having progressed right through the age groups from U9s level since 2017.
