In the second of two games against travelling American side Cornell University, Burnley’s U21s were beaten 4-1.
Danny Loko gave the visitors an early lead before Connor Drought added a second for the Ivy League University side.
Matthew Goncalves scored the third and after substitute Kade Ratchford pulled a goal back for Burnley, Patricio Parra netted a fourth and confirmed the victory.
The Clarets put out a much-changed side with Lewis Thomas starting in goal for the first time since January and Deji Sotona in the 11 for the first time since joining the Club.
First Half
The visitors started the stronger of the two sides and were in front within two minutes as forward Loko picked up on a poor clearance and hammered past Thomas into the far corner.

Cornell continued to have a stronghold on the game, and added a second on 21 minutes when Wilson Frisner drove to the byline before cutting a cross back towards Drought who headed in.
And a third was scored soon after with Matthew Goncalves picked up the ball and rounded Thomas before slotting into the empty net.
The first real Clarets chance came on the half hour as Joe Ashton did well to work a cross and Kian Le Fondre headed against a Cornell defender before prodding wide.
Wiktor Gromek shot wide moments later, in what proved to be the last action of the opening 45, as the Clarets went into the break behind.
Second Half
A much-changed second half Cornell side started the second half as strongly as they started the first and had an early chance through Dakota Jonke saved before Henry Hylbert also tested Burnley ‘keeper Thomas.

Jonke and Hylbert were involved once more moments later, as the former saw another chance kept out by Thomas and the latter volleyed wide after being played through by Ben Goulding.
The Clarets would pull a goal back despite the ever-growing number of Cornell chances, through substitute Ratchford who picked the ball up on the edge of the area and slotted past the ‘keeper.
Joe Westley then headed wide from a Renaldo Torraj corner as Cornell went close twice more as Will Carnavale turned and shot straight at Thomas and the Burnley stopper again saved well to keep out Sahyd Nevado.
Parra headed in the visitors fourth from Matthew Hutchinson’s cross to seal the victory for the American side.
