Tony Philliskirk's side kicked off their 2021/22 season with a bang, after putting eight past Newcastle on the weekend, in an impressive 8-3 victory.
The Clarets, who have suffered a very difficult COVID-19 damaged pre-season, were two ahead after just eight minutes through Michael Mellon and Sean Etaluku, before three quick fire goals from United had the hosts infront with 20 minutes played.
However, Burnley were then level just before the break, as Etaluku grabbed his second to make it 3-3 at the interval, at United's training base.
And the Clarets were then back infront six minutes into the second-half througn Tremaine Eastmond, before Mellon added a fifth and his second of the afternoon.
Substitute Joe Smyth Ferguson added a sixth goal with seven minutes left, with George Walters firing in a seventh and Smyth-Ferguson securing a brace in stoppage time to round the scoring off.

The visitors took the lead with six minutes on the clock, as Etaluku rose highest to win a header, before squaring to Mellon inside the area, who slotted home.
And Philliskirk's side had their second just two minutes later, as the lively Etaluku burst through on goal from a counter attack and fired into the bottom corner.
However, Michael Ndiweni then grabbed two goals in two minutes for United, to pull the scores level on the 18th minute.
And the hosts then took the lead, as Jay Turner curled home an effort from the edge of the area.
But the Clarets hit back, as Etaluku arrived at the back post to turn home the equaliser just before the break.

Burnley then came out on front foot once again in the second-half and regained the lead through Eastmond, who latched onto Will Couch's through pass, before rounding the goalkeeper and slotting home.
And the away side then had a fifth, as Mellon got his second of the afternoon, heading in Dane McCullough's teasing cross.
Smyth-Ferguson was then introduced and made an instant impact, firing in low from Mellon's low cross to make it 6-3.
The damage wasn't done there though, as Walters added a seventh, with a tidy finish past the United goalkeeper.
And Smyth-Ferguson then finished things off for the Clarets, scoring his second and Burnley's eighth of the game in stoppage time, on a fine performance in the north east.
