Burnley FC’s U18s side are back in action on Saturday afternoon, as they host Peterborough United at the Burnley Training Centre in the Professional Development League North (1pm KO).
The Clarets fell to defeat last time out, with a 3-0 loss to Birmingham City at Wast Hills Training Ground, Birmingham.
The Blues opened the scoring in the opening ten minutes as Bria Bateman fired the ball into the back of the net past Jon Ander Vilar Robinson.
Moments before the break Blues captain Taylor Dodd bagged himself a goal, as he sent Vilar Robinson the wrong direction.
Birmingham found their third when Jack Rogers attempted to head away a shot from Ben Wodskou but deflected the ball past the keeper.
That defeat leaves the Clarets sat 8th in the Professional Development League North table.
Saturday's opponents Peterborough is coached by Hugh Alban Jones, and have recently shared points with Sheffield United and won against Barnsley.
Last time out the Posh claimed three points with a 3-2 victory over 4th placed side Barnsley, despite that score the side place 10th in the table.
In the last meeting between these two sides, the Posh hosted and were the winning side, beating a much less experienced Clarets team 4-0 at the Idverde Training Ground.
The Posh found themselves three goals in front after 15 minutes following a brace from Torin Ntege and a strike from Harry Titchmarsh and Josh Marcon sealed the victory in the final minute.
