A youthful Burnley U18s side were beaten 4-0 by Hull City in the Professional Development League on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers netted three goals before the break and rounded off the afternoon with another in the closing stages at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire.
With several of the team's regular starters involved in Friday's U21s game against Crewe Alexandra, U18s boss Tony Philliskirk named six players from the Club's U16s squad and two trialists in his side.
There were starts for Frankie McMahon-Brown and Marley Leuluai in midfield, with regular left-back Oli Pimlott and winger Zach Johnson also involved.

Hull made an impressive start with Calvin Okike opening the scoring after just eight minutes. He connected with a lifted cross from Archie Cooper to direct a powerful header into the top corner past Felix Chester.
The Tigers continued to apply pressure and soon extended their lead when Lucas Dawson intercepted a loose ball from Chester and calmly slotted it into the bottom corner.
Johnson looked to pull one back for the Clarets after receiving a superb looped ball from McMahon-Brown, but his effort was saved by George Wilson.
A quick counter-attack then led to Burnley conceding another goal. Ronnie Kelly crossed from wide for an unmarked trialist to make it 3-0 with half an hour on the clock.

The second half started with promise as Brandon Ly continually linked up with Brandon Pouani but the Tigers were able to keep creating chances of their own. The best of which saw McMahon-Brown make a crucial block to deny a powerful effort.
Kelly then took a shot from close range that rebounded off a post and fell to substitute Aidan Durkan who was alert enough to tap in the rebound before Chester could react.
Hull had the final chance as Anthony Onoh unleashed a powerful strike that narrowly missed the target.
After the game Philliskirk spoke of his team's resilience and looked ahead to the end of season run in, which starts with the visit of Ipswich Town to the Burnley Training Centre on Saturday 6th April.
