Burnley FC’s U18 and U21s squads enjoyed a ‘Lifestyle Morning’, in which they were visited by representatives of Lancashire Police and took part in two classes amongst and spoke about vital topics.
Both sessions were centred around online safety and the importance of taking care with how you behave on both social media and the internet, as well as avoiding being the victims of ‘Cyber Crime’.
U21 forward Lewis Richardson spoke about the session and how he will take certain things into account in the future.
He said: “The main thing about today was learning about being safe online and also being safe when you are dealing with people that you’ve just met.

“I’ve learnt through this session that you have to be a lot more careful when you are online as you are not as safe as you think you are.
“This has taught me to take things more seriously with regards to passwords and other things like that, so I think today has been important and I’ve learnt a lot.
“As we’re young footballers we’re kind of in the spotlight all the time and we need to be switched on when posting on social media.”
