Tony Philliskirk's side came from behind to secure a point against Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon ina 1-1 draw, thanks to a late Will Couch strike.
The Reds' Luke Chambers opened the scoring early in the second-half, before Couch grabbed the equaliser with 15 minutes to play at the County Ground.
It was a quiet start on a sunny afternoon in Leyland, as both teams looked to settle into it and into the rhythm of things.
The first real chance came with 20 minutes played, as Joe McGlynn latched onto a through ball and broke forward into the area.
But the striker's low-hit effort on his right-foot fizzed inches wide of the post, as the Clarets pushed for the opener.

And McGlynn's effort turned out to be the best chance of the half, as the visitors struggled to get a real foot in the game, with the scores level at the break.
But it was the away side who came out on the front foot in the second-half and took the lead in the 52nd minute, as defender Luke Chambers slotted home from close range, to give Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's side the lead.
The hosts looked for an instant reply, after a flurry of corners and half chances, but nothing too dangerous for the Liverpool defence, which included 18-year old Billy Koumetio, who has played for Jurgen Klopp's side this season in the Champions League.
But with 15 minutes left on the clock, Philliskirk's side got a deserved equaliser, as substitute Dane McCullough picked out Couch at the back-post, where the Burnley-born midfielder turned it home past Fabian Mrozek from close range.

The Clarets pushed for a late winner, but as the game entered the final few minutes, in an even encounter throughout the afternoon, both defences stood strong to hold on for a point.
Philliskirk's side are next in league action on Saturday, where the Clarets travel to Manchester City.
