Mike Jackson and defenders Nathan Collins and Connor Roberts have all been nominated for the upcoming April Premier League Awards.

Jackson is up against Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Man City’s Pep Guardiola and Brentford’s Thomas Frank for the Barclays Manager of the Month Award.

The former Shrewsbury Town and Tranmere Rovers manager has picked up three wins and a draw in his four games in temporary charge of the Clarets, becoming the first Burnley manager to go unbeaten in their first four games in charge in the top-flight.

Meanwhile, Roberts’ wonderful effort against Southampton in the 2-0 win at Turf Moor has been shortlisted for the Budweiser Goal of the Month for April.

The right-back cut inside on to his weaker foot and curled the ball past a stranded Fraser Foster in the Saints goal, scoring his first Premier League goal in the process.

The Welshman’s strike is up against seven other goals, which include efforts from Antonio Rudiger, Rodri, Miguel Almiron, Aaron Creswell, James Ward-Prowse, Granit Xhaka and Enock Mwepu.

And finally, centre-back Collins has been nominated for the EA Sports Player of the Month for April, after stepping in for the injured skipper Ben Mee.

The Irishman started six matches for the Clarets last month, winning four, drawing one and losing one.

Including two big goals, in wins against Everton and Southampton at Turf Moor and two clean sheets against the Saints and Wolves.

Collins is up against Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Thiago, Gabriel Jesus, Son Heung Min, Leandro Trossard, Bruno Guimaraes for the monthly award.

The three nominations for the month has shown the togetherness and belief within the group which runs through the club, as the Clarets head into the final four games of the 2021/22 season.
