Head Coach Scott Parker is well aware of the challenge his side will come up against on Friday night when the Clarets face Norwich City, but urges his side to continue the 'consistency in mindset' they have shown throughout the campaign.

Burnley head into Friday's clash 28 matches unbeaten in the Championship, still undefeated at Turf Moor and having lost just twice all season.

With just five games of the 2024/25 season remaining and the Clarets currently in the automatic promotion places, Parker acknowledged the importance of keeping that consistency, starting this weekend.

Speaking to the media on Thursday ahead of the game, he explained: "We've got a tough game ahead of us and certainly some learning from the last time we played them.

"Looking back at that game and referencing it, there were some problems in their structure and we've gone over that in terms of working through that.

"They're a really good side that have been in this division for a few years and been in the Premier League as well. They've got talent, which we understand can cause you problems."

Parker continued: "At the final stages of any season, the emotional rollercoaster is the key. I'm very conscious of that, really. So, we're in an unbelievable place right now.

"We've done that through a real consistency in behaviours and a real consistency in mindset and you often ask me about what other teams are doing or, you know, you can go X amount of points or they can go X amount of points away from you.

"We just need to stay focused on what we're doing each game as it comes. We need to have the same commitment, the same confidence, the same consistency, the same energy and enthusiasm."

If Burnley are to keep a clean sheet on Friday night it will be the 30th of the season, an English league record and Parker admits he and the team are 'very proud' of that.

"It's something that we're very proud of and it's something that we've held close to us and something we've built our game on.

"Like I've said many a time before to you, there's been a lot of work that's gone into that phase and certainly into that part of our game and the lads have executed and been brilliant in that really.

"It's given us a foundation and a platform to be where we are, while there's other elements which we're obviously improving as well.

"So, I'm extremely proud of the team and the group and everyone involved. We need to keep maintaining it really and keep understanding how important that side of it is for us. "
