Burnley FC are looking forward to marking our return to the Premier League with a civic reception and bus parade later today, Tuesday 6th May.
Manager Scott Parker and players will be at Burnley Town Hall from 6.15pm for interviews on the balcony, with fans watching.
This will be followed by an open-top bus parade to Turf Moor from 7pm, which should take approximately an hour.
The route will take the bus down Manchester Road and right onto pedestrianised St James’ Street, straight across the crossroads into Yorkshire Street, and finally into Harry Potts Way and Turf Moor. The players will not be appearing at Turf Moor and no public events are planned at the stadium.
Please note, the following road closures will be in place:
  • Harry Potts Way, Burnley for its entire length
  • Un-named road to the side of 114 Brunshaw Road, Burnley for its entire length
  • Yorkshire Street, Burnley from Todmorden Road to Centenary Way
  • Centenary Way, Burnley from Yorkshire Street to Gunsmith Place
  • Grimshaw Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Elizabeth Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Thomas Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Nicholas Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Dugdale Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Manchester Road, Burnley from Finsley Gate to St James’s Street
  • Saunder Bank, Burnley for its entire length
  • Hargreaves Street, Burnley from Manchester Road to St James’s Row
  • Ormerod Street, Burnley from Hargreaves Street to Bull Street
  • Bull Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Hall Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Yorkshire Street, Burnley from Centenary Way to Hall Street
  • Church Street, Burnley from Chapel Street to Yorkshire Street
  • St. James’s Street, Burnley from Manchester Road to Hall Street
  • Croft Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Red Lion Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Parker Lane, Burnley for its entire length
Closed to vehicles and pedestrians the following roads:
  • Yorke Street, Burnley for its entire length
  • Ormerod Street, Burnley from Yorke St to Hargreaves Street
Closed to pedestrians:
  • The bridge on Harry Potts Way leading to 'Under the Culvert' (Definitive right of way FP1201197 (Burnley) (canal towpath)
Oskars Bar and other businesses on Yorke Street will remain open via managed barriers.
Please plan your journey in advance, avoid these areas if travelling by car, and follow all steward and signage instructions on the day.
Burnley.co.uk and Burnley.social have also joined forces with Discover Burnley and Burnley FC in the Community for an afternoon of fun activities leading up to the players’ arrival.
These will run on the 6th May from midday until 4.30pm in the public realm outside of McDonald’s.
