Teenage Clarets goalkeeper Lewis Thomas has joined National League North side AFC Fylde on a short-term work experience loan.
And the 18-year-old is set to make his debut for the Coasters in their FA Trophy third-round tie at Boston United on Saturday.
Former Trophy winners Fylde moved for Thomas following injuries to senior keepers Chris Neal and Max Johnstone.
And the move will give the Clarets’ youngster - a third-year scholar at Turf Moor after signing from Manchester City at the start of last season - the chance to play first-team football for the first time after alternating between the U18 and U23 squads at Burnley this season.
