Clarets duo Nathan Tella and Anass Zaroury both outlined the supporters importance in their success this season as they lifted the Championship title after beating Cardiff City 3-0 on the final day of the campaign.
Winger Zaroury and frontman Tella have been hugely important parts of the Burnley side this season, with the Morocco international scoring seven and assisting five times in the league, and the on-loan Southampton star finding the net 17 times himself.
And the Clarets top scorer this season said that this campaign has been right up there as the top in his professional career.
“This has been my favourite season; I’ve learnt so much from the boys in the team as well as the staff.
“We knew it was going to be a party atmosphere today as we were already champions and everyone as individuals obviously wanted to be involved.
“Playing in front of these fans has meant a lot to me this season, and I’m just happy that we were able to bring home the silverware for them.
“Right from the first game of the season their support hasn’t waivered and everyone’s been a part of it.
“We’re able to celebrate today and that is a great feeling.”
Fellow summer signing Zaroury echoed Tella’s comments about the fans and added that they have been instrumental to the success of the team this season.
“I think the fans coming out to support us shows our success this season and they were joined by my family members today which is good.
“This season has been exceptional, and we’ve done a lot of beautiful things on the pitch this season and I’m so happy we can celebrate this in front of the fans in the stadium.”
