Hjalmar Ekdal and Michael Obafemi continue their recovery to full fitness following their respective long-term injuries.

Manuel Benson and Johann Berg Gudmundsson have both been absent with injuries in the Clarets’ squad since the Manchester United defeat last month.

Vincent Kompany confirmed in his press conference on Thursday that 'a decision will be need to be made' on defender Ameen Al-Dakhil but Jordan Beyer remains a doubt for the trip following his absence in the last outing against Chelsea.

Former Burnley skipper Ben Mee joined the Bees in the summer of 2022 and hasn’t featured since mid-September after receiving an injury against Newcastle. The defender remains a doubt for this weekend.

Midfielder Josh DaSilva remains sidelined with a hamstring injury for the clash whilst German forward Kevin Schade is unlikely to be available as the 21-year-old is recovering from a hip problem.

Former Hull youngster Keane Lewis-Potter is a doubt and missed their last match against Manchester United as did goalkeeper Mark Flekken with illness but the Dutch goalkeeper could return this weekend.

Winger Mikel Damsgaard hasn’t played since the Bees’ win at Fulham in August and remains out with a groin issue.

Full-back Aaron Hickey will miss the match through suspension after picking up five yellow cards this season, whilst Rico Henry is a long-term absentee after suffering a knee-injury against Newcastle which will see the left-back miss the majority of the 2023/24 campaign.
