Charlie Taylor was disappointed following Burnley's narrow defeat to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
His first ever goal for the Clarets put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, before the home side scored two to secure the three points on the day.
“The result’s hugely disappointing for us, probably a really frustrating afternoon for so many reasons and look, at the end of it we’ve came away with nothing.
“It was a really tight game, like I say we were probably on the wrong end of a lot of decisions today which has cost us.”
It's not been an easy return to the Premier League for the Clarets but Taylor and his manager and coaching staff are full of belief that things can turn around.
“Yes 100% [we believe]. The manager’s a cool, calm guy and he’s telling us to stick with it. It’s obviously a disappointing day but things will come good, and we’ve got to keep trusting in the process.
“We’ve got a couple of games now in the coming week to put it right.”
After last week's loss to Brentford, Josh Cullen spoke about how important it is to have games come around quickly after a defeat, in order to react and get back out there. Taylor agrees and is keen to get going again at Goodison Park against Everton on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.
“Yeah, that’s the good thing about football - your next game is never far away. We’ll go again, hopefully try and get a result at Everton and back it up at Palace in the league on Saturday.”
