Charlie Taylor is hoping that following a vital victory over the Eagles, Burnley can take flight in the Premier League.
Monday’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Turf Moor lifted the Clarets out of the bottom three for the first time in the fledgling season.
And left back Taylor believes the players can take that momentum forward ahead of a busy period in the season.

“It’s a massive win really. Before your first win a lot of people speak and there’s talk from outside the club and the pressure builds up,” he admitted.
“As much as people don’t say it, you do naturally look at the table and it’s not nice to see. We’ve been down there for the first few weeks, so to finally get that win and move up a few places is huge and we need to kick on now and use that as a springboard.
"There are some tough games coming up, but we have to take confidence from the other night.
“Crystal Palace are a good team with top players and we have kept a clean sheet and won the game, so there are lots of positives to take and those three points can breed confidence throughout the team.”

A third clean sheet in five games was reward for a dogged second half defensive display after Chris Wood had given Burnley something to hold onto with an early strike.
And Taylor paid tribute to his defensive colleagues, who repelled Palace’s second half efforts to make Turf Moor a happy place again.
“It got scrappy at times, but sometimes you have to dig in when you are in the lead,” he added.
“There’s a real determination to keep those clean sheets. We’ve got Popey in behind us, who is the best goalkeeper in England, so that helps.

"He’s a huge part of what we are, as are the other lads, and Ben (Mee) coming back in.
“He’s the captain and a huge voice in the changing room and we’ve missed him, so it’s good to have him back.”
Next up for Burnley is a daunting visit to Manchester City this Saturday, and Taylor shrugged: “There are no easy games in the Premier League –especially away at City.
“Nobody expects us to get anything, so the pressure is off and hopefully things can go for us on the day.
“Who knows? We go there with confidence and it’s a free shot at a top-class side.”
