Midfielder looks ahead to Eagles clash

Burnley return to Premier League action on Wednesday night in London, as the Clarets take on Crystal Palace and midfielder Josh Laurent insists the team are eager to get back out there and show a response from last week's defeats.

Following back-to-back losses to Sunderland and West Ham, Laurent reflected on the 'disappointing' week, but highlighted the urge to get back out there and give the fans a performance to be proud of at Selhurst Park.

HAMMERS REFLECTION

"It was disappointing for everyone involved, the team, the staff, the gaffer, the fans who come out to support us with their hard earned money, it really was disappointing.

"Anger, upset, frustrated, all those emotions that naturally come after any defeat, but especially after that one on Saturday."

EAGER TO GET BACK OUT

"We have to relish the situation we're in, we know what situation we are in. It's down to us a group and individuals to put it right and get out of this.

"We have to show fight, we have to show intent and show we are putting in a performance for this Club and for these fans."

"It's going to be a tough game, but they are all tough games in this league. It's cliché but I will say it anyway, it doesn't matter about anyone else right now or what they do, it's all about us as a team.

"All teams in this league have threats and can hurt anyone, it's about how we can stop that and how we react from last week's disappointment and not feel sorry for ourselves."
