Jaidon Anthony has described the Clarets season so far as 'a battle' but declared the team know the position they are in and are focused on picking up a positive result when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

FIGHTING BACK AT SELHURST PARK

“It was long time coming getting a win, to do it in that fashion was unbelievable and a real confidence boost for all of us.

“The whole half it felt like a real open game, it felt like we would get chances. To put away the three that we did in those few minutes was unbelievable. We really enjoyed that.

“Palace are a really good side, really well coached. The second half was difficult; we had to hang on. I think everyone put in a great shift.

“He [Martin Dúbravka] has been unbelievable for us all season and saved us on so many occasions. Then he makes another save like that, in that moment. We’re starting to expect it really and we appreciate it. It was a big moment for sure.

“It’s been a difficult season, wins have been tough to come by, but we know we need to pick some up. Hopefully, we can keep doing that from here on out.”

RESETTING AFTER MANSFIELD DEFEAT

“It was difficult for all of us. We obviously wanted to win that game and progress but that’s the FA Cup, you see a lot of upsets up and down the country.

“We’re disappointed that it happened to us, but we have to reset and focus on the next game.

“We took a lot of confidence from the Palace game, and we’ve been back to work this week, working hard prepping for this game and come Saturday we’ll be ready.”

SATURDAY’S OPPONENTS CHELSEA

“They’re a really good team, you can see they’re really well coached and have a lot of talented players. There’s a lot of talent we’ll have to nullify, hopefully we can do that on Saturday.”

RELISHING THE OPPORTUNITY

“It’s been a battle [so far this season]. You have to enjoy those moments as well, the tough times and the good times. For me, I’ve enjoyed pushing myself and trying to help the team as much as possible.

“I think we have to relish this opportunity of trying to keep this team in the Premier League and that’s what we’re going to do.

“I don’t look at it too much to be honest [the league table], we know the position we’re in. It’s on us to get the victories and if we do that, then we’ll see what happens.”
