Jaidon Anthony said the Clarets are aiming to 'end the season on a high to give the fans something positive' following a tough Premier League season.

The forward was on the scoresheet early on at Turf Moor, netting his 8th league goal of the campaign as the side secured a point against Unai Emery's Villa.

ENDING ON A POSITIVE

“We know it’s been a tough season, and our fate is sealed but the fans keep coming out and showing their support and we want to give them stuff to shout about. Obviously, they’ll be as disappointed as us about the season, but we have two games left now and we want to try and end on a positive.”

ON THE SCORESHEET

“It was really important. We’ve been unlucky with a few VAR decisions, I thought I was on the edge of offside, but it probably relaxes the stadium – gets the crowd behind us as well. When Turf Moor is rocking like that it’s always a tough place to come.”

RECENT CHANGES

“There’s been a lot of changes in the building, as well as in the team today. Our fate is sealed and we probably have nothing to lose, maybe players played with a little more freedom today.

“I don’t know if that’s the case either to be honest, we’ve been trying throughout the whole season. We wanted to get the win today, we didn’t do that, but I think the fans can be proud of the performance we put in.”

AIM FOR THE SEASON

“There’s not been many times for our fans to shout and have a positive time, but we want to end on a positive. They follow us all over the country. It’s been a tough year for them, a tough year for us, and if we can end on a high and look forward to next season then we’ll try and do that.”

ARSENAL UP NEXT

“In football anything can happen. Arsenal are an unbelievable side, well deserving of where they are. We’ll go there and try and cause them problems. If we can cause an upset, then we’ll do that for sure.”
