Information for supporters travelling to the Select Car Leasing Stadium

Burnley turn their attention to the FA Cup this weekend, with a trip to Reading on Saturday.

For any ticketing issues or information, please contact the Burnley FC Ticket Office on 01282 446800, select option 1 or email ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com.

Please note that all duplicate ticket requests will need to be emailed from the visiting Club and only government recognised ID will be accepted.

Visiting supporters may be asked to show photo ID on matchday, this is to ensure that any ticket collections or duplicates are for use of the named ticket holder.

Tickets will no longer be on sale from Burnley FC from 5pm on Thursday 9th January 2025, however a limited number of tickets will be available to buy on the day from Reading's ticket office, please note they are card only. Uncollected tickets and reprints will be available from 1:30pm.

Matchday ticket collections or any queries regarding your ticket should be made at the designated Visiting Supporters Ticket Office; South Stand Ticket Office, located between Gate 9 & 10.

By Car

From Junction 11 of the M4, follow signs towards Reading. The Select Car Leasing Stadium is on your left-hand side after less than a mile. For SatNav systems, the postcode is RG2 0FL.

Parking

The recommended car park for visiting supporters is Wood Park & Ride Shinfield Park F2. Postcode for SatNav: RG2 9FW.

Parking is free and is situated only a short bus ride away from the stadium. Fares on return bus shuttle are £7.50 adult & £5.50.

Directions: from Junction 11, M4, take exit B3270 (signposted Earley) & follow yellow signs to ‘Match Reading FC Park & Ride’.

Coach Parking

Visiting supporters coach parking is free of charge and situated within 50 yards of the stadium. However, on occasions when the number of coaches exceeds ten, parking will be no more than a 5-minute walk to the stadium.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to the Select Car Leasing Stadium is the Reading Green Park Station, approximately 15 minutes’ walk to the stadium. Alternatively, Reading Station, from there take the F1 (Reading Station Shuttle Service) which starts 2 hours before kick-off and runs frequently to & from the stadium up to 1 hour 45 minutes after final whistle.

Accessing the Stadium

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off and visiting supporters are located in the South Stand.

Smoking

The Select Car Leasing Stadium is a no smoking facility. If you wish to smoke at half-time, please make your way outside to the secure compound where there will also be refreshments available. This includes the use of e-cigarettes & vapes.

Food & Drink

There is no dedicated pub to visiting supporters in Reading town centre. Closer to the stadium are the Holiday Inn, Basingstoke Road, RG2 0SL or the World Turned Upside Down, Basingstoke Road, RG2 0JE.

Prior to the match, you are also welcome to make use of the Fan Zone which opens 1.5 hours prior to kick-off outside the Sir John Madejski Stand.

Cashless Stadium

The Select Car Stadium is a cashless stadium.

Leaving the Stadium

Please be aware that in order to allow pedestrians, buses and coaches to exit the stadium safely, cars will be held back on the stadium car parks for around 20 minutes. There can also be delays of around 45 minute to exit the stadium complex due to heavy flow of traffic.

We will not tolerate any form of hate speech, offensive chanting or discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal, from any supporters at home, away; while travelling to or from Club matches or events; or on social media or digital platforms. The Club will always take the necessary steps to eliminate such unacceptable behaviour; and the individual concerned will be subject to a sanction from the Club and may face arrest and subsequent prosecution.

Burnley Football Club has a zero-tolerance policy for fans entering the playing area and, as a result, any supporter who does so will be issued with a lifetime ban with immediate effect.

We urge all travelling supporters to ensure they represent our football club in a positive manner.

Flags

Supporters are free to display any reasonable sized flags anywhere in the stadium provided they do not cover any advertising or obscure another supporter’s view.

Supporters with large flags are encouraged to contact the supporter service department, supporterservice@readingfc.co.uk.

Poor Behaviour

Report suspicious or unacceptable behaviour. TEXT 80800 beginning your message with the word “SAFE”

Reading Football Club would like to remind all supporters that entering the pitch or the perimeter track is a criminal offence and anyone doing so will face arrest and a ban from watching football. Entry to the ground is subject to acceptance by the club of the Ground Regulations, which can be found online here or at the turnstiles.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilets for visiting supporters are in the South Stand:

One next to R32, RH & baby change

One next to R30, RH

They are not currently RADAR key operated but have an alarm fitted to floor level. All are located within 30 metres of the seating area and are alternatively sited with left- and right-hand transfer spaces.

Visually Impaired

Reading FC provides six Walkman’s for visually impaired and partially sighted supporters to borrow. These are tuned to BBC Radio Berkshire for match commentary. The Walkman’s are available if requested in advance of a fixture by calling 0118 968 1313 (Option 2) or emailing disability@readingfc.co.uk. Blind and partially sighted supporters using these will be charged at the standard ticket price based on their age category.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are permitted within the stadium bowl. However, it is recommended that supporters with assistance dogs contact Reading FC on 0118 968 1313 (Option 2) or email disability@readingfc.co.uk before the match so access to the ground and welfare of the assistant dog before, during and after the match can be discussed.

Non-visible disabilities

Supporters with a non-visible disability can be accommodated in any part of the stadium in general seating. However, if a supporter has any specific requirements and feels that general match seating would be unsuitable for them, please contact the team on 0118 968 1313 (Option 2) or email disability@readingfc.co.uk to discuss the best options based on requirements.
