Burnley Football Club can confirm the departure of Interim Women’s Team Manager Louise Roberts, who has offered her resignation from the role, which the club has regretfully accepted.
Roberts joined the Clarets as Assistant Manager in November 2023 and went on to oversee the team in Caretaker and Interim capacities. During her time in charge, she was named Manager of the Month; guided the side to a League Cup semi-final; and leaves with the team unbeaten in the league this season.
Paul Jenkins, Director of Football Development, said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank Lou for her dedication and professionalism throughout her various roles at the Football Club.
“We have enjoyed a positive season to date, and much of that is due to her efforts to improve the team every day. Lou is someone we will always support, and while we are disappointed to see her leave, we fully respect her decision.
“Our commitment to the aim of promotion remains unwavering, and preparations continue for this weekend’s trip to Loughborough Lightning.”
Everybody at Burnley Football Club would like to thank Lou for her service and wish her every success in the future.
