Steve Stone’s side followed up their impressive victory over Fulham earlier this week, with a 0-0 draw at Norwich.
The Clarets were unlucky to not come away with all three points on a crisp afternoon in Norfolk, after seeing a penalty saved in 70th minute.
But an overall competitive performance at the Lotus Training Centre, against a strong Norwich side, saw both sides leave with a point.
After a dominant opening 10 minutes from the hosts, the Clarets then had their first chance, as Lewis Richardson fired over the bar.
City then came close, as Nizet crossed low for Omotoye, but the forward stretched out and put the ball over the bar.
The Clarets then had a great opportunity, as Ne-Jai Tucker’s free-kick was glanced just over the bar from the towering Bobby Thomas.
The visitors looked to have settled in to the fast-tempo game, as Richard Nartey picked out Joel Mumbongo, who was causing the Norwich defence all sorts of problems.
But the Swedish striker raced forward into the area and clashed with the City goalkeeper McCracken.
With the scores level at the break, the Clarets came out bright and raring to go in the second-half.
And Stone’s side came close after the hour, as Max Thompson broke forward in attack, before finding Richardson, who turned and picked out Mumbongo, whose effort was blocked inside the area.
Moments later, the wave of attacks paid off, as the visitors had a penalty, when Richardson was brought down inside the box by the City keeper.
But Mumbongo stepped up to the spot and saw his strike saved by McCracken in the Canaries goal.
City then had a couple of opportunities of their own, but a strong Burnley back line were holding their ground to deny any great chances.
And despite a flurry of late attacks from the away side, the hosts’ defence held on to ensure the honours were even.
