Alan's notes ahead of this afternoon's game

Good afternoon and welcome to Turf Moor for today’s game against Huddersfield Town.

It’s been a busy week and we are back on home turf following two challenging away fixtures at Luton Town and Millwall earlier this week.

To come away with four points from both games is extremely positive. Kenilworth Road and The Den are difficult places to go, and as a side we had to dig in deep. I’m proud of Vincent and the squad for the performances, on what has been a tricky run of games.

No game in this league is easy and to be in the position we are in currently, unbeaten in the league since November 2022, is phenomenal. To see the hard work on the training pitch, paying off on matchdays is wonderful and I never tire of seeing the togetherness of the squad - supporting each other and forming such a connection with the fans. It’s incredibly special.

The Millwall fixture also saw Jack Cork make his 250th appearance for the Club. Jack’s leadership and passion shines through and I’m delighted to see him reach this great milestone. Congratulations!

At today’s game we are celebrating our College Clarets takeover alongside Burnley College.

Our partnership is hugely successful, from Esports to our revolutionary women’s football partnership with Fitness Evolution, the relationship continues to evolve in an exciting direction.

To celebrate, we have lots of activities going on throughout the day, including music on Harry Potts Way, a scarf giveaway, facepainting, arts & crafts, a half-time penalty shootout and the Burnley College Dance Squad will be performing.

In addition to all the fun and activities, several college students will be shadowing club staff members to learn more about what goes on at Turf Moor on a matchday - from helping compile statistics and analytics to social media and photography.

The partnership and today’s takeover day aim to showcase the power of collaboration between our two organisations, and I hope you all have a fantastic day.

Today, we will also be showing our support for Level Playing Field’s Unite for Access campaign.

We are proud to join clubs from around the country in supporting the disability charity’s work to improve accessibility and inclusion at sporting venues and find ways clubs can assist disabled fans in the future.

In the lead up to the game we have released further information on our website of the important work we have been conducting in this area.

Back to this afternoon’s game, we have a 100% unbeaten record at Turf Moor so far this season, which is fantastic. Let’s all play our part in keeping the record going by giving the team our full support again today.

Up the Clarets!

Alan
