Burnley’s next stop on the Sky Bet Championship route map takes them to Rotherham United’s New York AESSEAL Stadium on Tuesday evening – 18th April – for a 7.45pm KO.
The Clarets extended their unbeaten run in the league to 21 matches on Saturday as they took a point from a goalless draw at Reading.
Sat top, Vincent Kompany’s side are now 12 points clear of Sheffield United in 2nd with both teams having five games left to play.
Accordingly, they could mathematically be crowned champions tomorrow evening in Yorkshire. For that to happen, Burnley would need to pick up all three points, and the Blades would need to drop points at home against Bristol City, also a 7.45pm KO.

Rotherham United
Every one of the previous six seasons have seen the Millers either promoted up to or relegated from the Championship.
Finishing as runners up in Sky Bet League One last season, and looking to buck that trend with survival this term, they lost long-time boss Paul Warne to Derby County in September with then-Exeter City boss Matt Taylor replacing him just under two weeks later.

Despite that, United have their fate in their own hands as we approach the business end of the season, currently 18th with five games remaining, more than all bar one of the clubs below them in the standings.
Taylor’s men are three points above the bottom three at the time of writing, losing 2-0 at home against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The last time we met
Tomorrow night’s game will be the 44th time that the two sides have met competitively, 12 of those so far coming in various cup competitions.
The 43rd meeting earlier this season at Turf Moor produced a 3-2 win for the Clarets, keeping an unbeaten home record alive in the most dramatic of fashions.

Trailing 2-1 as the clock ticked past 90 minutes and 10 minutes of added time were signalled, Manuel Benson levelled things up. Then, in that 10th minute of time added on, Burnley struck a late late winner through Halil Dervişoğlu to spark scenes of pandemonium in BB10.
Including that win, Burnley are unbeaten against Tuesday’s opponents in five meetings stretching all the way back to 2004.
The Clarets have only visited the AESSEAL New York Stadium once before, and that ended in a 2-1 victory in the 2015/16 promotion campaign thanks to goals from Andre Gray & Sam Vokes.
