Hull City
After a 19th-place finish last term in their first season back in the Championship following promotion up from Sky Bet League One, Hull began this season with Shota Arveladze at the helm.
He had departed by the end of September though, eventually succeeded permanently in early November by former City defender Liam Rosenior.
The Tigers have only been beaten four times in the league under Rosenior to date, with Wednesday evening his 19th in the hotseat.
Last weekend, Hull took a point from a 1-1 draw at Coventry City with Colombian international Óscar Estupiñán was on the scoresheet.
The last time we met
The pair’s 65th competitive meeting came early on in the season at Turf Moor, also ending in a 1-1 draw.
Both goals that night came in the first half with Jay Rodriguez’s poked effort cancelling out Ozan Tufan’s opener for the visitors nine minutes earlier.
Notably, that was a third consecutive 1-1 draw between the two sides, with Burnley last victorious over the Tigers in February 2016 when Sam Vokes netted the only goal of the game on home soil.
For the Clarets’ last win away at Hull, you have to go back to May 2015 when – again with a 1-0 scoreline – Danny Ings proved the matchwinner.
