After a rare midweek without any match action, Burnley return to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon (October 15), taking on Welsh counterparts Swansea City in a 3pm KO.
Vincent Kompany’s side were victorious on the road last time out, claiming all three points and a clean sheet with a 1-0 success at Coventry City.
Nathan Tella was again on target, stroking home the only goal of the game in the Midlands late on in the second half with a composed finish.
That win has the left the Clarets 4th in the Sky Bet Championship with 22 points from 13 games prior to Saturday’s meeting with the Swans.

Swansea City
The South Wales outfit’s start to the season has been somewhat similar to Burnley’s. Russell Martin’s side sit 6th in the table at the time of writing, and have a point less than the Clarets.
After a stuttering start, the Swans have now won their last four in a row including success at home to Sunderland last time out.
Goals from Oliver Cooper & Harry Darling had them 2-0 up come the break, and despite Sunderland pulling one back early on in the second half, Swansea held on for the three points.
This season is Swansea’s fifth consecutive one in the second tier, relegated from the Premier League in 2018, and the closest they have come to a return is a defeat to Brentford in the Play-Off final in May 2021.
The Last Time We Met
Saturday will bring a first meeting of the two sides since the 2017/18 Premier League campaign which saw Swansea relegated.
Qualifying for Europe that season, Burnley beat the Swans 2-0 at Turf Moor with Jack Cork & Ashley Barnes on target, though the most recent meeting was the reverse fixture in South Wales which saw the hosts win 1-0.
Ki Sung-Yueng’s 81st minute goal was enough for the Welsh to seal three Club to seal three points that afternoon - coming in February 2018 - with ex-Clarets loanee Nathan Dyer in the Swansea side.
