Saturday afternoon sees Burnley’s homecoming as we return to Turf Moor with the visit of Luton Town (3pm kick-off).
After a pre-season which included trips to Shrewsbury & Lisbon, and an opening night win at Huddersfield Town last time out, this will mark Vincent Kompany’s first ever game in charge at Turf Moor. The ex-defender played here four times during his time as a Manchester City player, scoring once.
Similarly, after a summer of change, Saturday will likely see some home debuts for members of the Clarets squad. There have been 10 arrivals so far with the latest Manuel Benson.
Over 14,000 season tickets have been sold, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back to Turf Moor to be part of the new era at the Club!

Luton Town
The Hatters travel to East Lancashire on the back of a goalless draw at home to Birmingham City in the opening weekend of the campaign.
Nathan Jones’ side are attempting to build on a successful season last time out which saw them reach the Play-off semi-finals.
Retaining the vast majority of their squad from last term, summer additions have included goalkeeper Matt Macey from Hibernian and experienced winger Luke Freeman.
Elsewhere, attacking duo Cauley Woodrow and Carlton Morris both made the move to Kenilworth Road from relegated Barnsley.

The Last Time We Met
It’s been some time since the two sides last faced off, with the most recent meeting coming at Turf Moor in March 2007.
Clarke Carlisle, who would go on to win promotion to the Premier League with the Clarets, played for the visitors in that game, which finished 0-0.
The season before, Ade Akinbiyi grabbed a hat-trick at Kenilworth Road, and midfielder John Spicer had to play more than half a game in goal after Brian Jensen was sent off, as Burnley earned a 3-2 win.
Luton were relegated from the Championship a few months later, and the two Clubs haven’t found themselves in the same division since.
In the years which followed, Luton suffered financial hardship and found themselves in non-league for five seasons before climbing back up the Football League pyramid.
Winning back-to-back promotions in 2017/18 and 2018/19, Town are now in their fourth consecutive season back as a second-tier outfit.
