The Clarets travel to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
Sean Dyche’s side lost 1-0 at home to Liverpool on Sunday with Brazilian midfielder Fabinho scoring the only goal. It was Burnley’s first home defeat in seven Premier League games.
Dyche is set to manage his 250th Premier League game on Saturday. He has won 69 and drawn 67. Two of those wins came against Saturday’s opponents when Burnley did the double over Brighton in 2018/19.
The Burnley boss knows the Club need to start winning games.
“The league position is the truth. That’s the way the league works. You can only offer that our performances are beyond where we are. And some of our stats are beyond where we are. The league doesn’t lie, it never does.”
Dyche has been impressed with the progress Brighton have made this season.
“They are a good outfit. They have invested over the years.
“Graham (Potter) has done a really good job there. Slowly but surely for them. They have added in those moments that count. I like what Graham is doing down there.”

Form guide
Burnley are unbeaten in five games at the Amex (1-4-0).
Both sides have drawn 50% or more of their Premier League games, Brighton 12 and Burnley 11.
Burnley’s last away win in the Premier League came at Fulham in May 2021.
Brighton are ninth in the Premier League just four points outside of the European places.
Opposition guide
Brighton lost 2-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday with goals from Portuguese stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
It was their first league defeat in eight. But manager Graham Potter wasn’t happy with the sending off of his captain Lewis Dunk.
"We don't always have to agree, it's a free world, we are entitled to our opinions and sometimes your opinion is a little emotional after the game," he said.

"I don't take too much back. If the referee gave a red at the time, I wouldn't totally disagree with it, or I could see why he would be given it.
"But when it was a yellow first, it didn't look like a clear and obvious one to change. But I could be wrong, it would not be the first time."
Potter isn’t looking at the league table and knows Burnley will be strong opposition.
“Burnley are very competitive. They have drawn a lot of games. Their performances have been good. So, they will be looking to turn those little margins their way.”
Match stats
Ashley Barnes was promoted from League One with Brighton in 2011. He played in the first ever league game at the Amex when Brighton beat Doncaster Rovers 2-1 in August 2011.
James Tarkowski is set to make his 300th career league start.
Shane Duffy had a brief loan spell at Turf Moor and played one game for Burnley v Ipswich Town in April 2011.
When Neal Maupay scored in Brighton’s 2-0 win at Vicarage Road last weekend, he equalled Scott Murray’s record for the most Premier League goals for the club (26).
Albion came from behind to win at Turf Moor in the opening game of the season. Maupay and Alexis Mac Allister scored for the Seagulls after Tarkowski had given Burnley the lead.
