Burnley's pre-season schedule came to an end on Sunday afternoon, following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Torino at Turf Moor.
Ali Dembele's goal in the first-half proved to be the difference in a tight contest with the Italian side, with the new campaign now just six days away.
The Clarets started bright and carved open an early opportunity with five minutes played, as Jacob Bruun Larsen teed up Zian Flemming to weave his way into area, but the forward could only fire it wide of the target.
Torino then had a glorious chance of their own shortly after when Giovanni Simeone broke through on goal and saw his strike denied well by Max Weiss, before Alessio Cacciamani rifled over the rebound.

Ignazio Abate’s side created another effort a few minutes later, this time Eybi Njie unleashed a shot from 25-yards out, but Weiss was equal to it and gathered the ball to safety.
The Serie A side did then break the deadlock in the 18th minute, as Njie stole possession on the left of the area, before picking out Dembele, who turned it home from close range to give the Italian side the lead.
After the opening goal, both teams were limited to any real opportunities on goal up until the break, with the final chance of the half falling Simeone’s way, but the Argentine winger could only fire over the crossbar.
Following the restart at Turf Moor, it was Simeone again who came close to adding a second for the away side, but Weiss was there to deny the lively forward.

As the game passed the hour mark, Hayen made a triple change, which saw Oliver Sonne, Aaron Ramsey and Mike Tresor introduced for Lucas Pires, Josh Laurent and Bruun Larsen.
Three further changes for the Clarets followed shortly after, with Lyle Foster, Joe Worrall and Shurandy Sambo all coming on for the final 20 minutes.
Burnley were searching for a way back into the tight game and came close to equalising in the 86th minute, but Sonne saw his back-post effort saved well by Diego Mascardi.
That proved to be the final chance of the game, with pre-season now complete for Hayen's men, attention now turns towards next Saturday's Carabao Cup tie with Notts County at Turf Moor.
