Chris Eagles
Born in Hemel Hempstead, Eagles started off at Watford before making the move up North from London when the 14-year-old signed for Manchester United’s academy.
Eagles rose through the academy system at Old Trafford and made his first team debut for United in a League Cup tie against Leeds United in 2003.
First team action was limited for the tricky winger in his early years, which saw the forward have spells on loan away from Manchester at Watford, Sheffield Wednesday and N.E.C.
After returning to United, Eagles scored his first goal for the Red Devils against Everton in the Premier League in April 2007 before eventually leaving the Reds the following summer in 2008 to join Burnley.
Eagles joined on a three-year deal ahead of the 2008/09 Championship campaign and the attacker made his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day, before scoring his first goal for the Clarets the following month in a 3-1 win over Preston North End.
The winger quickly became a fan favourite at Turf Moor and finished his first season in East Lancashire on seven goals, which helped Burnley seal promotion to the Premier League for the first time.
Eagles played all but two fixtures in the Clarets’ top-flight campaign and only missed three league games in the following season after being relegated back to the Championship, before the forward departed in the summer of 2011 to join Bolton Wanderers.

David May
Oldham-born May joined United from Blackburn Rovers in 1994 and the defender made his debut for the Red Devils against his former side Rovers the same year in the Charity Shield Final at Wembley.
May spent seven years in total at Old Trafford, making nearly 100 appearances which saw the centre-back lift the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
Following an impressive spell with the Red Devils, May joined the Clarets in the summer of 2003 as Burnley prepared for a season in Division One.
After making his debut against West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the season, May then scored his first goal for the Club in a 2-1 victory over Stoke City a month later.
The defender only spent one campaign at Turf Moor and left the Club in 2004 and went on to join Bacup Borough later that year.

Phil Bardsley
Salford-born Bardsley joined United's academy system at just eight-years-old and worked his way all the way through the age groups up to the first team.
The defender made his first team debut for the Red Devils against West Brom in 2003 and went on to feature a further 18 times across his overall 15 year spell at Old Trafford.
During his time with United, Bardsley also spent time out on loan at Royal Antwerp, Rangers, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Burnley.
Six appearances for the Clarets in his first spell with the Club on loan in the 2005/06 Championship season, then saw Bardsley depart United permanently in the summer of 2008 to join Sunderland.
After a seven year stay in the North East and three years at Stoke City, the full-back then re-joined Burnley for a second time in the summer of 2017.
The right-back spent five permanent seasons at Turf Moor, all in the Premier League, where the defender made 71 appearances in total and was part of the team that impressively qualified for the UEFA Europa League in 2018, before leaving the Clarets in 2022.
