Junior Stanislas 'holds special memories' from his three seasons at at Burnley, which included a promotion to the Premier League and a goal against Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor.
The forward joined the Clarets in 2011 after signing from West Ham United, where Stanislas had spent the last 11 years after rising through the academy system in London.
Over 100 appearances later in Claret & Blue, the Kidbrooke-born winger departed to join AFC Bournemouth where he would go on to spend the next nine seasons before retiring last month.
Ahead of this weekend's clash with the Cherries, we caught up with the former midfielder where he discussed his time at both former club's and had high praise for Vincent Kompany and his playing style.
The 33-year-old said: “I really enjoyed my time at Burnley. It was my first time up north, away from home and London and I settled in really well.
“The team, the fans, the staff everyone was really welcoming from the start. I had three years up there, including promotion to the Premier League, so I hold really special memories."

Despite Stanislas being born and raised in London and spending the majority of his career down south, the former wideman acknowledged the importance of the east lancashire derby and the delight of scoring in the 1-1 draw with Rovers in 2013.
“It’s funny that. I kind of forgot about that goal for a little while then when I announced my retirement the other week it resurfaced again.
“It was a great moment. From being up there I quickly learnt the rivalry of Burnley and Blackburn so it was nice to give the fans something back and be remembered in a game like that.
Following three years with the Clarets, Stanislas left the Club and moved to Bournemouth and reunited with former boss Eddie Howe on the south coast.
He admits it was the right time for him to move on and felt the right club for the next chapter in his career.
Stanislas explained: “It was the right time. I wasn’t playing week in week out as I would have liked so it was a new chapter for me.
“Eddie (Howe) was the manager and he obviously brought me to Burnley first too so it just felt the right step for me to go back down south.

“I enjoyed nine really successive seasons at Bournemouth. It’s a local family club and you get to know people quite well there.
“Getting to the Premier League was amazing for us then too and to be a part of that was special and something I will always remember."
After reminiscing on his time at both club's, Stanislas applauded Burnley's style of play and has been impressed with what he has seen under Vincent Kompany.
“I have watched a few games this season on TV and I watched a few of the games last season too.
“Vincent Kompany has put his footprint into the club and they want to play with pace, attacking football and I’ve been really impressed with them.
“Obviously the results haven’t been the best this season but from a football perspective they are a really good side to watch and I’m sure their fortunes will start turning soon and winning games."
