Tom Heaton
Born in Chester, Heaton arrived at Turf Moor in 2013 from Bristol City as the Clarets geared up for a season in the Sky Bet Championship. The goalkeeper played an integral role in his first season at Burnley as the Clarets secured promotion to the top-flight. Sean Dyche’s side were relegated after just one campaign in the Premier League, where Heaton featured in every game, but responded in fine style as the Clarets won the 2015/16 Championship title the following year. Three more seasons in the Premier League followed with Burnley, which included a 7th place-finish sealing UEFA Europa League and taking the goalkeeper's total appearances in Claret & Blue to 200. Heaton departed Turf Moor in the summer of 2019 and signed for Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side. The shot-stopper spent two seasons at Villa Park making 20 appearances with an injury ruling out gametime in his second year in the Midlands.

Ashley Westwood
Nantwich-born Westwood began his career with Crewe Alexandra before signing for Aston Villa in the summer of 2012. After making the step-up from League One to the Premier League, the midfielder made 30 league appearances in his first season at Villa Park. After cementing his place within the starting XI at Villa, Westwood went on to play more than 150 games before leaving in January 2017 to sign for the Clarets. The centre-midfielder quickly became a fan favourite in East Lancashire and after becoming a regular amongst the Burnley side. Westwood won the Club’s Player of the Year award in 2018/19 and featured in every single Premier League game in the 2020/21 campaign. After just under 200 games for the Clarets, ‘Westy’ departed in January 2023 and moved to the MLS to sign for Charlotte FC.

Matt Lowton
Chesterfield-born Lowton joined Aston Villa in the same summer of 2012 as Westwood, after leaving League One side Sheffield United. Lowton played all but one game in the Premier League in his first season at Villa Park where he also scored twice. Two more years in the Midlands followed before leaving in 2015 to sign for Burnley. The full-back quickly became a regular in the Clarets’ title-winning campaign in his first season at Turf Moor which sealed top-flight status. After over 150 games in the Premier League for the Clarets, Lowton left the Club last summer after a loan spell with Huddersfield Town for the second half of 2022/23 campaign.
