Bailey Peacock-Farrell emerged as a hero for Northern Ireland as they kept alive their hopes of reaching the finals of Euro 2020.
The Clarets goalkeeper saved a penalty in the 4-3 shoot-out victory which took his country into a play-off final against Slovakia next month.
Northern Ireland drew 1-1 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then held their nerve in their first ever penalty decider to move within one more victory of a place in the Euro finals, which are now scheduled to be played next summer.
Slovakia went through at the expense of the Republic of Ireland in another play-off semi-final decided on penalties.
Clarets winger Robbie Brady came off the bench for Ireland an hour into a 0-0 draw.
Brady then converted from the spot in the shoot-out but two of his team-mates missed as the hosts won 4-2 to end Ireland’s dreams of reaching the final of another major tournament.
However, Clarets team-mate Johann Berg Gudmundsson could be there after helping Iceland beat Romania 2-1 in their play-off semi-final.

Gudmundsson, who returned from injury in Burnley’s 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United last weekend, played for 83 minutes and laid on the first of two goals for Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson as Iceland set up a final date against Hungary next month.
Elsewhere on a busy night of international football, Nick Pope marked his first Wembley appearance with a clean sheet as he helped England beat Wales in a friendly full of Burnley interest.
The Clarets’ goalkeeper won his third cap as he played the 90 minutes in a 3-0 victory wrapped up by a goal from former Burnley striker Danny Ings.
England were captained by ex-Clarets defender Kieran Trippier and also included another former Turf Moor graduate in Michael Keane.
And one of the England substitutes – Leicester forward Harvey Barnes – was born in Burnley as the son of ex-Clarets striker Paul.
