Burnley Football Club are pleased to announce that Alethea Paul has signed a new two-year contract ahead of our first ever Women’s Super League 2 season.
The defender’s new deal runs until the summer of 2028, with the Club holding the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
After putting pen to paper, she said: “It was a really successful season last time out and I can’t wait to get going again.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how much we can push ourselves as a team, and we’ll be ready for the challenge.
“We’ve been off a while now, so I’m buzzing to get back in for pre-season.
“I’m hopeful that it (next season) will be a positive experience for everyone involved.”
Paul is currently in her second spell as a Claret, having moved back to Lancashire last summer after a year away from the game.
The 27-year-old established herself as a regular in the side, scoring five goals and contributing seven assists from left wing-back in 31 appearances.
With a wealth of WSL2 appearances to her name at Sheffield United, she will now be looking to use that experience as part of the Clarets back line.
