Gaffer looks ahead to Sunday's showdown at the City Ground ...

Burnley welcome Manchester City to Turf Moor on Wednesday evening, for a match that could have huge ramifications at either end of the Premier League table.

Ahead of the visit of the Citizens, Scott Parker spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon.

Here's what he had to say.

PREPARING FOR CITY

"The mood has been sombre as you would expect after the weekend.

"But the lads have trained well today and we’ve prepared for what will be a difficult game against a world class side.

"We’ve got a huge challenge ahead of us but we’re looking forward to it.

"What’s to be is to be once the final whistle blows, but the minimum is that we give the best version of ourselves tomorrow night."

"They’re definitely developed and evolved as the season has played out.

"There’s been some subtle differences in terms of how they play.

"They’re perhaps playing with more freedom now.

"Pep has clear principles as a coach but can also adapt to where the Premier League is today. That’s why he’s a world class coach."

"Zian’s professionalism, honesty and mindset has been first class.
