Gaffer looks ahead to return to Premier League action

Burnley return to Premier League action with a home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Clarets boss Scott Parker spoke to the media on Thursday lunchtime ahead of showdown versus the Seagulls.
Here's what he had to say.
SEAGULLS TEST
“Brighton are a very good team.
“They're a football club that has got a clear direction, you see that in terms of the players they recruit.
“The managers they recruit are very, very similar and I think their style of play is very, very consistent.
“This is a team that over the last six, seven years have consistently played that way really and you can see that.
“They've a brilliant coach who's coming off a very good run and had a very good season. There's big quality in their team and I think we've seen that over this year and certainly in their last set of fixtures. So a good side, which we're going to need to be fully prepared for.”
A LONG BREAK
“It's been a long period, probably the longest that I've ever experienced.
“We had some downtime, certainly after the Fulham game just to recuperate, for many reasons, physically as well as mentally.
“Since then, we've worked pretty tough, to be fair.
“So it's been a good period - but we're now looking forward to getting back into action at the weekend.”
PRIDE IN AXEL
“It's an incredible, incredible achievement (to qualify for the World Cup) - and added to that he scores the winner as well.
“It's a huge achievement for Axel and obviously Congo as well.
“We're really pleased for Axel, obviously coming off the back of a bit of an injury too.
“I've seen the adulation he's got since he's been back - and rightly so.”
