Scott Parker expressed his excitement about heading to Turf Moor on Saturday for his first game at home in charge and the Burnley boss wants the supporters to play their part.
The Clarets host Cardiff City this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship and Parker acknowledged the difference that the supporters can make for his team on Saturday and throughout the 2024/25 season.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Parker said: "First of all, I'm really excited. It's our first home game, coming into it off the back of a good result on Monday and it really is something for us to look forward to.
"It's a cliché saying, but the supporters really can be your 12th man and there is no truer saying. I've been in the stadium (Turf Moor) before and there is a real energy about the place.
"We need that again this weekend and this season. It's going to be really important for us every game this season, having over 18,000 supporters screaming and shouting to get those 11 players over the line.
"The first time it hit home on Monday was after the game and that energy and connection between the players, staff and the fans, you could see it and feel it even within the goal celebrations.
"Of course, we won the game and got a good result down there but the celebrations and togetherness was just really nice to see and that energy is going to be vital home and away this season, we need all the support we can have to get us over the line in games."

On carrying the momentum into Saturday, Parker added: "We had a positive result and positive performance, it was very pleasing but there is still a long way to go and to improve, but overall there is optimism.
"The group have been first class since I came in and after Monday we will try build that into the weekend and go from there."
Saturday's opponents Cardiff lost to Sunderland in their opening fixture last weekend, but Parker is expecting a response from the Bluebirds at Turf Moor.
"They're a good side, they will bring us different problems as to what we experienced on Monday night. They have a new manager, some talented players and it will be a test.
"They lost their first game and they're going to be wanting a reaction but hopefully we can perform well again and get a result."
