Burnley boss Scott Parker says his team have the opportunity to 'bounce back' from Saturday's defeat on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup but knows the Clarets will face a challenge against Wolves.
Parker's side travel to Molineux in the second round of the competition and the Head Coach is hoping his team can respond with a positive performance against the Premier League side.
Speaking ahead of the visit to Wolverhampton, Parker said: “It definitely gives us an opportunity to bounce back, the games come thick and fast.
"Certainly, where we are at the moment in terms of the dynamics of the squad, it will stretch us, but we’re looking forward to this game, we're coming up against a good opposition and it's an opportunity to see more players in that sense.
“It’s a Premier League outfit, a good test. We’ll go over what went wrong on Saturday, get it out of our system, reboot and go again on Wednesday night."
When asked if there will be many changes to the Burnley XI against Wolves, Parker explained: “It’s a tough competition, it all comes down to how much depth you have in your squad.
“Our main priority this year is the league and there’s no denying that, we have a huge game this weekend against our local rivals to factor in.
“We’ll try managing the squad the best we can, and we’ll try make a few changes, but I don’t see massive changes. It’s another game for us to keep developing as a team and a match against Premier League opposition."
