Burnley Football Club can confirm that Millie Chandarana has signed a new one-year contract, with the Club holding a one-year extension option.

Chandarana played a key role in the Women’s team’s successful 2025/26 season, featuring in all 33 matches and providing 12 goal contributions from midfield.

“I’m really happy to be here for another year” she said.

“I think it will be a great season in the WSL2 and I’m really looking forward to it.

“It’s a really tough league that goes from strength to strength every year, so it’s going to be challenging but I think we’re up to it.

“This is a really good club to be at and we’re all pulling in the right direction, so I’m looking forward to the fitness and football that pre-season will bring.”

After moving to Lancashire following her departure from Nottingham Forest last summer, Chandarana’s Burnley debut came in the opening day victory over Middlesbrough.

Her first goal was in September’s thumping 13-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers, in which she also recorded four assists.

Now 29, the central midfielder went on to use her experience to great effect as the team won the third-tier title courtesy of an unbeaten campaign.

Having signed this new deal, she now remains part of the Clarets squad preparing to tackle life in Barclays Women’s Super League 2 for the first time.
