Burnley's nine match unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship came to an end on Sunday afternoon, as the Clarets suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Den against Millwall.
After a promising first-half from Scott Parker's side, defender Jake Cooper headed home for the hosts seven minutes into the second-half that turned out to be the winning goal in a tight contest in South London.
Head Coach Parker named one change to the starting XI, as Andreas Hountondji came into the attack replacing the ineligible Zian Flemming.
There was an early flash of a chance for the Clarets when Josh Laurent laid the ball into the path of the oncoming Luca Koleosho, but the young forward smashed it inches wide.

An opportunity then fell Millwall’s way but striker Macaulay Langstaff lifted his effort over the target from a tight angle.
In a lively start at the Den, Hountondji then had his first chance of the game in the 13th minute. Koleosho teed up the Benin forward, which he received on the edge of the area, before rifling just wide of Lukas Jensen’s goal.
As the first-half reached the midway mark, the game was paused for a lengthy delay, after one of the officials pulled up with an injury on the sideline and was eventually replaced by the fourth official.
Once play finally resumed, chances from both sides were few and far between as half-time approached, until James Trafford was forced into action in the last minute of added time to keep out Langstaff’s goal bound header with a fantastic stop. Femi Azeez then fired over the target from the following corner.
Millwall started brightly after the restart and it took the hosts just seven second half minutes to get the opener. Cooper rising highest inside the area to head home Azeez’s cross and loop it into the back of the net.

As the game reached the hour mark, Parker made a triple change as Burnley looked for a way back into it, with Jeremy Sarmiento, Jay Rodriguez and Hannibal replacing Bashir Humphreys, Josh Laurent and Hountondji.
The Clarets were pushing for an equaliser, and applying pressure on the hosts, but as Hannibal teed up Koleosho on the edge of the area, the youngster could only fire over the crossbar.
Despite efforts from the visitors to push for a late equaliser, the stubborn Millwall defence stood strong to keep the away side at bay and ensure the points stayed in London.
